Evans’ Rag
Vol 1 Issue 4
Have you ever tried keeping poinsettias alive past Christmas?
The blog continues to keep with the season. Now that the holidays are behind us, the real season of winter is beginning in the Mid-Atlantic. I like to remind myself “things could be worse–you could be living in Buffalo.”
Layla continues to shed her fur, and it drifts down the hallway like white tumbleweeds. The Canadian geese are beginning to check out our lawn for possible nesting. Are they trying to tell us it will be a short winter? The lake’s not frozen. Doesn’t even have that first cloudy film of ice on it.
But this morning after the snow shower late yesterday, the road had lots of black ice on it, making our morning walk going downhill oh so much fun–for Layla.
Stay warm and drink your eggnog.
