Putin’s War
The news can’t be making Putin too happy. That thought passes. “Hope he chokes,” is what follows.
The blunt Ukrainian Major said, “It was fast,” pointing at the Russian tank blown sideways off the road and how those inside were instantly obliterated.
The war journalist recorded the Ukrainian officer’s comment. “It was fast.”
Russians are being ordered forward, and despite the odds facing him, this Ukrainian soldier knows what the grunts inside their metal coffins have paid—dog tags on the ground, no one back home even knowing to cry over their bones gone missing and burned to molecules.
I want to believe the Ukrainian patriots will win. I don’t want to hear from Mariupol, where civilians are dying in theater basements.
One despotic man brought all this? Is it true Sauron has a palatial dacha not so far away?
