I’ve taken advantage of the long weekend to get this written. This past month I’ve been transcribing my  mother’s letters to my father after World War II. My sister, Janet, found them in Mother’s things after she died. She archived and sorted them by date, brought it here one weekend visit and handed over her work. She’ll never see it again.

So 12,000 words later, I’m nearly finished—now I need to figure out what to do with it. I’d like to put it on Medium, but there are few articles running that long. So this month the blog and Medium article will need to suffice.
