Fie on The Dawn
Dawn touched me once–one
more she did not know
though helped
as generous at that–all these
pictures of the child, the world
she lived, I see her now
the smile, her light
infectious as it seems
the eight they posted
just a glimpse
now only emails tell me
who she was in full.
These foolish days
we spend too freely I would roll
back if given chance to see
–Dawn, I never will.
